DID SOMEONE LEAVE THE TAPS RUNNING?

DEVASTATING FLOODS (again)

In July 2021 this clients office building in London was flooded for a second time in 5 years. Torrential rain caused localised flooding. The sewage system backed up  and the basement of their building was destroyed by black water. During its reinstatement, we installed flood proof doors, non-return valves to all waste water pipes, raised all the boiler room equipment to 6ft and installed flood-proof air bricks.

Brief

To clear out the flooded basement of this commercial building, liaise with insurance loss adjusters and put preventative measures in place to mitigate the risk of future flooding.

Vision

We were up against time to clear out this basement before damp and mould started to spread. A major clean up operation followed and then drying equipment brought in, All floorboards were removed and the lower 50cm of plasterboard removed from all affected walls. Once dried out, we could begin on reinstatement.
