COME DINE WITH ME
Following a remodel of this character home, the client wanted to create a dining room that oozed old world elegance but with a modern twist. This spacious room suffered from sound reverberation, so we installed acoustic panelling to the brick wall which they wanted covering. The original floor just required a good polishing. We added a deep green colour to the remaining walls to create a sumptuous space for entertaining. W styled it with mid-century furniture to match tones within the flooring and wood panelled walls.
Brief
Convert this large living room in to a sumptuous warm dining room. Love dark greens, hate curtains, must allow as much light in to the room as possible. Must be able to fit a large dining table and storage for glassware/crockery.
Vision
Due to the size of the room and wood flooring, we installed acoustic walnut panelling to absorb the sound. A deep green was painted on the remaining walls. All curtains and dated window dressings removed. Modern white blinds installed. We styled the room with mid-Century furniture.
